Remember those patent leather handbags with the repeated shapes printed on them? They were *everywhere* for a few years?

Like a decade ago I guess, haha. I don't pay much attention to trends. Anyway

Make a Wish

Dandelions are a real theme in my life.

I tried to give this one a nice water-color-esque background, which backfired I'm afraid.

It was still delicious!

Squiggle Stripes

I am not sure what came over me.

I'm sorry. Are your eyes ok? They seem to be bleeding...

Even thought it was ugly, it was still delicious! (Look at that, breaking it doesn't seem to affect it's horror at all...)

Vintage Flower Pattern

I love vintage prints. They have such simple yet whimsical designs.

I modeled this egg after that sort of whimsy.

It was delicious!

Freckles and Arrows

I had a freckled egg today. "Freckles" on eggs can be dark or light spots on the egg's shell - they are just deposits of calcium when the hen has had a lot of calcium in their diet.

But they sure make pretty shells! I doodled some arrow themed designs on this one.

And it was delicious, freckles, arrows, and all!

Metallic Markers

Metallic markers are so much fun! I love the glimmer and shine of them!

Sadly they did tend to smear a bit.

But they were still delicious!

Funny Chicken Birds?

It started out as an idea for a sort of old-country design.

It ended up looking like funny chickens.

Easter Eggs

It is the time of year that we celebrate the egg! (And some stuff about Jesus, too.) The last couple of years my family has been lax on getting together to decorate eggs, so this year we made sure to get a few done!

These eggs are hollow - there's no yolk or anything inside to eat. They are a delicacy for the eyes only. Happy Easter!

Blue Flowers

I was in a doodling mood. These light brown eggs look so nice with monochromatic designs.

I tried to incorporate dots again. I think perhaps dots and I should spend some time apart, haha, they never turn out as I wish.

But it was still delicious!

Violet

A wee violet as we begin our spring preparations.

The weather has been so nice here it's felt like spring for a little while. But I've been afraid to plant anything because of the danger of a late frost. April signals the go ahead to begin the garden! I'm actually a terrible gardener.

And this violet was terribly delicious!

Moose Tree

I really like trees and my husband really likes moose. He was on my mind today as I did this little sketch.

See, it's a colorful moose under a stylized tree. Which... has a heart... A very unusual tree. Come to think of it the moose is pretty unusual, too. They fit together because they don't fit anywhere else.

Fitting in my lunch, colorfully delicious!

Purple Tribal

I had an idea for geometric shapes almost like woad. I've been reading a book where a character has a woad tattoo, so I guess it was on my mind.

And delicious!
